    La Pelosa Hill

On the border between the Po plain and the Alps (Italy !), in the Monte Fenera Natual Park, you can find places with beautiful views. One of these is The Pelosa Hill; a little known, not very touristic place, but that can give a nice feeling of peace and tranquility, a place for meditation. Just you and nature. It is not even difficult to climb; a pair of good shoes and legs are enough. The day was not very clear, but clear enough to enjoy the view Here a video taken with my drone.

    A Beautiful Medieval Village

It is amazing how time has stopped in some Italian places. Civitella del Tronto is a beautiful village born on a small hill dominated by his fortress. It is a place rich in history, but in my opinion its peculiarity is the size of the streets: the hill is very small and there is very little space. For this reason in Civitella there is the narrowest street in Italy: La Ruetta.

Hiking on Monte Vettore – Mental and Physical Health

A few years ago I had some health problems that limited my walking; I solved it after surgery and as a rehabilitation I started walking by taking small walks. I had never done that kind of training, but thanks to the company of my dog Max and together with a good friend, and thanks to the place where I live …walking, walking, walking, walking, walking, for more time, more distance … I became a real walker, quite trained. Walking has not only been good for my physical health but also for my mental health: this topic deserves a dedicated post. In 2020 I walked more than 1300 km: I never…

    Sanctuary of Madonna del Sasso

One of the most beautiful, or the best, balcony overlooking the Orta lake, is Madonna del Sasso Sanctuary. It was build on a rock spur about 600 meters height, on the west side of the lake, in front of Orta. This church was completed in 1748 as a substitute of an old chapel. Let me say that ‘Madonna del Sasso’ (‘Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rock’) is a common name when a church is build on a rock but I does not matter. I went to visit the church in June 2020 in a beautiful day; really I went to that place to take pictures and video with the…

My Trip to India – Part One

In the last ten years I traveled quite around the world, for my job and with my family. In this period of lockdown, business trips and holidays come to my mind; yes, I miss them ! One of the best trips I have done was in India, It was a business trip. While traveling by taxi from the Bangalore airport to the hotel I ran into one of the harsh realities of big cities in India: traffic jam. For several minutes we were stuck in traffic, without moving, everyone honked their horns. I thought the cause was the proximity of the airport, but in the following days I realized it…

    The Malefic Stone

“Sass Malò” This is a big stone located in the wood of Gattico (Italy), It’s dimensions are about 8x4x3 meters. It seems like a trivial blog, which talks about a stone, but when you see that stone, it surprise you. All people who see it for the first time take a picture of it. The singularity of this stone is that it is the only one in the entire wood. A legend make it interesting. Legend has it that under the stone is a eat-children witch’s lair. “Sass Malò” means “Malefic stone” in local dialect.
